Education Support
Japanese national or foreigner.
Scholarships (Shogakukin)
While there are many kinds of high schools, classes are arranged according to contents such as regular courses, special courses and general studies. Special courses are those dealing with technical sciences, foreign culture, business, etc. Schools are also classified according to the when classes are held. Daytime (zennichi-sei), Half-day (teiji-sei) and correlated (tsushin-sei). There are also schools that have special system in the case of foreign students.
Early Education System
Usually from 6 to 12 ang normal age ng grade school students and 12 to 15 for junior high school students.
School Admission
If a student wants to enroll in a public school managed by a prefecture, city, ward, town or village, they may do so by applying for an application for a foreign (child) to enter school within their city, ward, town, village or board of education. In the case of private school, they can directly inquire in the private school administration.
Notice to be admitted in school will show information about the school where a foreign student will study, including the date and time of the student’s health examination. If a person wanted to enter their children in a school, they should accomplish a Notice to Enter School and the student’s alien registration certificate to the nearby ward office on the date specified to process an application. Application can be done at a later day or time should some reason restrict a person from making the application on the specified date.
School daily expenditure
Libre ang textbook sa elementary and junior high public schools. Study materials, transportation expenses (house to school), outside school activity fees or school trips and school meals are some of necessary fees to be paid. If it is difficult to pay due to financial reasons, the school expenses support system is available for unfortunate students.
A student may inquire at the school or board of education. This system is only available to private school and doesn’t apply to public schools.
